This Edwards TIC relay box acts as the control interface between the TIC controller and the mains backing pump, turbo pump flange heater band, and a backing line isolation valve. This relay box does not have any setpoint relays. The relay box can be used on a benchtop or rack mounted alongside the TIC controller. This Edwards radial air cooling dual fan unit fits the nEXT730D and nEXT930D turbo pumps and provides air flow perpendicular to the pump. The air cooling facility is powered via the pump's auxilliary connector and will always run when the pump is on. This radial air cooling unit can be used in combination with the EPS 800 power supply mounted to the pump's side (mounting kit part number P1012528 is required). The power supply mounting kit is not required when the power supply is used remotely from the pump. This Edwards radial air cooling unit includes mounting screws and has part number B8J200800. This Edwards water cooling unit is optional on the nEXT730D and nEXT930D turbo pumps, and is included standard with nEXT1230H pumps. The water cooling block slides into a slot in the base of the pump and is secured with 4 M4 screws. This water cooling block has push-fit connectors for the supply and discharge hoses (8mm OD plastic hose). The hose connections may be unscrewed and removed to make use of the integrated G 1/8” threads. This water cooling kit is needed when using a flange heater band with a CF flanged pump. Edwards nEXT turbo pumps also benefit from water cooling when there are high gas throughputs, cyclic operations and/or high ambient temperatures. In order to ensure long trouble-free operation, the cooling water must be clean and not contain any oils, greases or suspended solids. This water cooling kit has Edwards part number B8J200820.

This heater band may only be used on CF flanged pumps outfitted with either water cooling or forced air cooling. The intake flange may be baked up to 100 °C (maximum). This flange heater (bakeout band) accelerates the degassing of the pump to enable it to achieve lower pressures. It may also be used to protect the pump from condensation of contaminants. The band heater has an attached power cable terminated with a C19 power entry plug (male C19). This Edwards intake bakeout flange heater band has part number B58052775. Both devices are switched parallelly (i.e. de-energized active / in-active). The pump's accessories interface is instantly ready for operation with the connected device (energized with pump switched on). Secondary devices, such as air cooling units, venting or purge valves, and relays can be directly energized and activated via the accessory connection. Note that this Y connector cannot be used on nEXT 240D, nEXT300D, or nEXT400D pumps which have a 3 pin Phoenix connector socket instead of a 4 pin accessory port. This Edwards vent or purge port adapter is used to convert the G 1/8 inch (BSPP) female vent or purge port on any nEXT turbo pump to a KF10 NW10 flange. An alternative vent valve to the TAV5 or TAV6 valve, or a vent or purge pipeline may then be fitted to this flange. This vent port adapter is supplied with a flow restrictor (when used on the vent port), and an O-ring to seal the adapter to the pump. When used in the purge port, use the PRX10 purge restrictor (part number P1012056) to limit the purge gas flow rate. This adapter has Edwards part number B58066011. This Edwards TAV6 venting valve can be installed in any nEXT85D, 240D, 300D, 400D, 730D, 930D, or 1230H series turbo pump. This valve operates at 24 VDC, and comes with a 3 meter long power cable with unterminated (bare wire) end, and has a BSP 1/8" fitting for connection into the pump's vent port. This valve can be powered by the pump's accessory port (nEXT85D, nEXT730D, nEXT930D, or nEXT1230H) or the 3 pin Phoenix connector socket on nEXT240D, nEXT300D, or nEXT400D pumps (the mating phoenix plug is supplied with the pump). This valve can also be directly wired to a TIC Controller, or a separate 24 VDC power supply. For use with a nEXT85D, nEXT730D, nEXT930D, or nEXT1230H turbo pump, the accessory extension cable is required (part number P1012520), which has an accessory connector on one end and is unterminated on the other. This Edwards purge gas restrictor sets the flow rate of dry purge gas through the purge port on any nEXT turbo pump. An inert purge gas is used to protect the bearing and motor from corrosion. In order to use this purge restrictor, the vent port adapter (part number P106356) must be used to adapt the G 1/8" (BSPP) purge port to a KF10 NW10 flange. The PRX10 purge restrictor is a special KF10 centering ring with a filter and restrictor built in. This purge restrictor, as supplied, is adjusted to restrict the flow rate of dry nitrogen at a supply pressure of 25 sccm. The supply pressure can be increased to increase the flow rate.
