The Edwards Micromeritics vacuum pumps are used to degas and analyze samples, and to prepare samples for surface area and pore volume analysis. Micromeritics systems use rotary-vane oil forepumps (wet pumps) for degassing and analysis. The Micromeritics E2M0.7 pumps differ from the standard E2M0.7 pumps as follows: The Micromeritics E2M0.7 pumps are supplied with a sealed exhaust assembly fitted to the outlet port of the pump. You must remove the sealed exhaust assembly from the outlet port before commissioning the pump. Comes with oil and all the parts for conversion. You must use the Edwards Ultragrade 15 oil (supplied) as recommended in Section 2.5 of the corresponding pump instruction manual.
