This listing is for the recertification service (with NIST traceable certificate) of the XG-110 portable thermocouple vacuum controller and sensor package. When new, the XG-110 controller package is calibrated to the specific sensor that it comes with. Even though the calibration procedure is the same as one that is documented with a NIST traceable certificate, to keep cost down, XG-110 packages are originally sold by us without a certificate. Over time and use, the calibration can get out of tolerance, making for inaccurate measurements. The sensor should be cleaned regularly. Please see the cleaning procedure download. If the sensor cannot be cleaned, or if it is damaged, you cannot simply change the sensor without recalibrating the controller to the new sensor. Calibration requires specialized equipment and cannot be done in the field.
