This Pfeiffer venting valve for HiPace 300, 300C (chemical resistant), 350, 450, 700, and 800 turbo pumps with a TC 400 drive unit, and HiPace 1200 turbo pumps with a TC 1200 drive unit, screws into the G 1/8" (BSPP) vent port of the pump (sealing ring included). It ensures the controlled, automatic venting of the turbo pump after shutting down or in the event of a power failure, and limits an uncontrollable pressure rise rate in excess of the permissable maximum (15 hPa/s), thus preventing possible damage to the pump's rotor and magnetic bearing.

This valve has an M12 electical connector that plugs directly into one of the accessory ports in the turbo pump's integrated TC 400 or TC 1200 drive unit. The TC drive unit controls and supplies power to the valve.The activation (control) of this valve for the venting connection is user configured and supported by Pfeiffer controllers (OmniControl 300, OmniControl 400, or OmniControl 001) or externally via RS485.
