The split housing coaxial roughing/foreline trap is designed specifically for use in the roughing manifolds in vacuum systems where freedom from contaminates is desired. The steel wool trapping media is contained within the stainless steel trap and can be removed, cleaned or replaced by removing the exterior banded clamp. These steel wool filled traps effectively protect vacuum systems from back-streaming
