The chemically-resistant N860.3FT.40.18 diaphragm pump is a two-stage unit with an integrated PowerDry® self-drying system. The pump runs on 115 VAC @60Hz, 1.9A, and weighs 33 lb. (The pump may be ordered with a 230 VAC, 50Hz motor.) Pumping speed is 60 l/min with an ultimate vacuum of 1.5 Torr. The pump head and diaphragms are coated with PTFE and the valve gaskets are made of FFPM. This makes the pump chemically resistant to highly aggressive or corrosive gasses and vapors. Hose connections are 1/2" OD for 0.5" ID tubing.
There is a wide range of applications for this pump in laboratories, especially whenever clean vacuum is required and moist gases must be pumped down. Examples include vacuum-drying of vacuum oven chambers (for drying or heat-treating substances and components) or steam sterilizers for sterilizing instruments, vessels, filters and textiles. Due to its high resistance to aggressive media, this pump can be used universally. The heart of these very compact pumps are KNF structured diaphragms (PTFE-coated). These patented diaphragms were stress-optimized using the Finite Elements method. As a result, the pump can be smaller while the service life of the diaphragm is increased.
The KNF PowerDry® System
allows condensed liquid to be blown out of the pump heads at high speed during evacuation. The vacuum in the vessel is not disturbed. The drying cycle can be adjusted to the requirements of the individual process using three variables. After drying, the pump reaches a better vacuum and is able to evacuate significantly faster compared with pumps without a drying system.
This is a new pump and set up for 115 Vac 60 Hz. Hose connections are 3/8 inch ID barb style connectors. 3/8 inch ID vacuum grade vinyl hose tubing is available on this website, Part No. P103304.
