This is an Edwards replacement oil cartridge for nEXT85D turbo pumps. It provides lubrication for the bearing at the bottom of the pump. The oil cartridge can be replaced on-site. Access to the oil cartridge is gained by removal of the four M4 button head screws at the base of the pump. Download the service toolkit manual and follow the instructions for replacing the oil cartridge. This Edwards oil cartridge has part number B8G200828. This Edwards water cooling unit fits the nEXT85D turbo pump. It attaches to the side of the pump with two included bolts. This water cooling block has push-fit connectors for the supply and discharge hoses (6mm OD plastic hose). The hose connections may be unscrewed and removed to make use of the integrated G 1/8” threads. This water cooling kit is needed when using a flange heater band with a CF flanged pump. The ACX85 forced air cooling kit is specifically designed for nEXT85D turbo pumps. This kit can be either Axially or Radially mounted and has a 0.3 meter long power cable terminated with an accessory port connector. The fan plugs into the pump's accessory port and is powered by the pump. This kit includes all the necessary hardware to mount the fan in either orientation. Both devices are switched parallelly (i.e. de-energized active / in-active). These Edwards WCX 500 water cooler kits connect to Edwards EXT EXT70, EXT70H/70Hi, EXT75DX/75iDX, EXT250/250H/250Hi, EXT255DX/255iDX/255H, EXT351/501 Turbo Molecular High Vacuum Pumps. They are to be mounted to the side of the turbo pump (See far right graphic above) Two riffled nozzle connectors are mounted into the water cooling block. These connectors accept 6 mm ID plastic tubing (not supplied) for the water supply lines. If you want to remove the pump for maintenance, and you do not want to break the cooling-water circuit, unscrew the fixing-screws and remove the water-cooler from the pump. Pipes in the water-cooling circuit may become blocked if the cooling-water contains too much calcium carbonate or if it contains particles that are too large. Corrosion of the water-cooling circuit may occur if there is too little calcium carbonate and oxygen in the water. Good quality drinking water is usually suitable. If in doubt, check the quality of your cooling-water supply and, if necessary, provide treatment and filtration. The air cooling facility is powered via the pump's auxilliary connector and will always run when the pump is on. This radial air cooling unit can be used in combination with the EPS 800 power supply mounted to the pump's side (mounting kit part number P1012528 is required).
