These 8-32 x 1/4-inch silver-plated socket head cap screws (SHCS) have a diameter of #8, with 32 threads per inch, and are 3/4 inch long. The silver plating is used as a dry anti seize, which helps protect against common seizing issues that can occur between the stainless steel hardware and conflat vacuum flange threads. They are non-magnetic being made of chemical and corrosion resistant 304 stainless steel. Socket head cap screws have a smaller head diameter than normal screws. They are tightened using an Allen wrench (hex key) which is inserted into the recessed hex-drive socket located in the screw head. The screw length is measured from under the head (length of shaft only) and are sold as 1 each.
