Electrical Engineering - Product Development Positions

Introduction:

Ideal Vacuum is looking for a skilled electrical engineers to join our team. A successful applicant for this position can demonstrate a strong background in electrical design. Multidisciplinary skills such as 3D CAD or software coding are considered highly beneficial.

Responsibilities:

After completing OJT (on-job training) and probationary period, an engineer at Ideal Vacuum is:

• Self-directed in assigned projects, with supervisor support
• A valuable contributing member of the product development team
• Involved in multiple project phases from product definition to product deployment
• Able to help improve design and manufacturing workflow in the company
• A valuable contributing member of our engineering and development team

Education/Knowledge

• B.S. Electrical Engineering (required)
• 1+ years experience in electrical design
• Power electronics
• Control Panel Design
• Schematic design
• UL 508A Training (preferred)

Job Tasks

As a design team member at Ideal Vacuum, an electrical engineer is responsible to contribute to various ongoing projects in various stages of development as they are assigned. Engineers provide verbal or written progress reports to their supervisor on assigned projects. The following items are common work activities for an electrical engineer at Ideal Vacuum:

• System control panel design
• Electrical component selection
• Creation of schematics and PCB layouts
• Writing product manuals and technical documentation
• Collaboration/interdisciplinary design for electronics packaging
