This high efficiency, super-high surface area, stainless steel gauze element is made to fit within the split housing coaxial roughing/foreline trap for use in the roughing manifolds in vacuum systems where freedom from contaminants is desired. The stainless steel trapping media effectively protect vacuum systems where back-streaming of roughing pump fluids is a problem. They can be removed, cleaned, and oven-dried many times.
