This Pfeiffer shielded relay box allows a backing pump to be controlled by the TC 400 or TC 1200 electronic drive unit on Pfeiffer HiPace turbo pumps. The box has a 0.45 meter long communication cable which connects directly to one of the TC drive unit's M12 accessory ports. This relay box can operate any single phase backing pump that has a starting current of up to 20A (the maximum relay contact load). This includes Pfeiffer HiScroll dry scroll and Duo series rotary vane pumps. This Pfeiffer backing pump shielded relay box has part number: PM 071 285-X.

This box operates on 100-240 VAC, 50/60Hz. An appropriate AC mains input cable must be wired into the box, as well as an output cable to power the backing pump. Note that the backing pump voltage must be the same as the input power voltage.
