This 1/2" wide x 36 yd. roll of 3M DuPont Kapton polyimide film is suitable for use in high and ultra-high vacuum due to its low mass and volatile condensable material outgassing. This thin film gold polyimide tape has a silicone adhesive which gives it a useful temperature range of -73°C to 260°C. The polyimide film does not soften and provides an excellent release surface at elevated temperatures. With its extremely low electrostatic discharge on unwind, strong dielectric and tensile strength, it performs well under all pressures from Ultra-High Vacuum to past ambient pressures.
3m DuPont Kapton 5419 polyimide tape is offered in 36 yard rolls supplied on 3" plastic cores. Widths of 1/4", 1/2" 3/4", and 1" are available.
