These Edwards nXR gas ballast adapters plug fits the nXR60i and nXR90i series multi-stage Roots vacuum pumps. A gas ballast adapter plug may be fitted in place of the gas ballast control on these pumps to blank-off and stop ballast functions. This is needed in some cases. The blank-off port prevents fumes from leaking out into the lab space from the vacuum pump's internals through an open gas ballast port when the pump is turned off.
